This Privacy Policy explains how the Chatter's Inner Circle Chrome Extension ("the Extension") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service.

1. What Information We Collect

The Extension collects and uses the following information:

• Email address — used to verify your Pro membership status. Stored locally in Chrome's secure storage on your device.
• Chat messages — the Extension reads incoming messages on the active chat page solely to generate AI reply suggestions. Message content is sent to our secure API to generate responses and is not stored or logged.
• Membership status — your Pro or trial status is verified against our secure server on each session.

2. What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect, store, or share personal information about chat participants.
• We do not track your browsing history or activity outside of the active chat page.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• We do not store chat message content on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your email address is used only to verify your membership status with the Chatter's Inner Circle platform. Chat message content is processed in real time to generate reply suggestions and is not retained after the response is returned.

4. Data Storage

Your email and membership status are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in secure storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device except for membership verification requests to our server.

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension uses the following third-party services to generate AI reply suggestions:

• Groq API — for fast AI response generation
• Anthropic API — as a fallback for reply generation

These services receive only the chat message content needed to generate a reply. No personally identifiable information is shared with these services.

6. Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab — to read the active chat page and inject the reply panel
• storage — to save your login email and membership status locally

7. Children's Privacy

The Extension is intended for professional use by adults only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
